Who We Are
Associação Par – Respostas Sociais was founded in 2007 after the development of the youth organisation Jovem a Jovem (founded in 1994). Throughout the years we have developed several projects with and for young people, in the areas of development and global citizenship education, community intervention and training/consulting.
With non formal and peer education as essential methodologies, we want to test new ways of learning and create spaces for critical reflection and action, where each young person can use their voice towards their own personal development and the transformation of their own communities, embracing their potential as agents for positive change in our World.
As an organisation, we value and take active part in national and European networks, such as: National Youth Council, Portuguese Non Governmental Development Organisations Platform and EPTO-European Peer Training Organisation.
Associação Par has no political or religious affiliation.

We want to inspire each young person to fully develop their unique potencial and to become an active agent to a more tolerant and inclusive society.

A Par torna-se representante da Plataforma das ONGD num grupo de trabalho da CONCORD (European NGO Confederation for Relief and Development): Hub4 – Global Citizenship Education and People Engagement.
Protocolo de parceria com a Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa.
Parceria com a Direção Geral de Reinserção e Serviços Prisionais.
A Par foi eleita para a Presidência da Direção do Conselho Nacional da Juventude.
Abertura da atual sede da Par no Tec Labs (Centro de Inovação da Faculdade de Ciência da Universidade de Lisboa)!
Certificação da Par enquanto entidade formadora pela DGERT (Direção-Geral do Emprego e das Relações de Trabalho).
Através do projeto Agência ODM, e no âmbito da aposta na educação para o desenvolvimento, a Par recebeu o Alto Patrocínio da Presidência da República.
A Par passou a integrar a Plataforma Portuguesa das ONGD (Organizações Não Governamentais para o Desenvolvimento).
O projeto ODM Campus Challenge foi premiado e distinguido na categoria “Combate à Pobreza, Fome e Doença” pela World Summit Youth Awards 2011 !
Integração na Campanha Global pela Educação, uma coligação internacional de organizações empenhadas na luta pelo direito à educação.
A 9 de Março de 2009, a Par é reconhecida e registada como Organização Não Governamental para o Desenvolvimento (ONGD) pelo Instituto Português de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento – Instituto Português dos Negócios Estrangeiros.
A Associação Par teve o privilégio de ser uma das primeiras sete organizações a serem cotadas na Bolsa de Valores Sociais, através do projeto Agência ODM.
Nasce a Associação Par – Respostas Sociais!
A sua criação nasceu do desejo de profissionalizar e alargar a ação desenvolvida pela Associação Jovem a Jovem (fundada em 1994). O novo nome pretende traduzir de forma mais aproximada a real intervenção da associação.
